Apologies for the silence the last few weeks. Life has been just a little bit complicated here, to say the least. We’ve had a stabbing and two huge E- Squad shakedowns along with the covid quarantine. They found so many phones and other contraband during the raids, they decided to keep us on lockdown for the time being. I think over the last month and a half we’ve had about five days when we weren’t locked down. No work, no classes. Everything is at a stand still. It seems like one step forward, two steps back sometimes. Anyways….what can you do?!
I try to use this whole experience as a learning opportunity. Patience has never been a strong point of mine. By the time this is all over, I think I’ll have a PhD!
I heard a quote the other day that really resonated with me. “Don’t focus on what you lost in the fire, look for what you can find in the ashes.”
I can sit around dwelling on the negative but I choose to focus on the future! Jeremiah 29:11 promises that I have a hope and future. Lamentations 3:26 talks about waiting and hope. That pretty much sums up my life. Merry Christmas and God bless

I look for the positive in every negative. Everything has a time and place. Sometimes when something bad happens it really isn’t as bad as what might of happened. This is my personal way of looking at life.
