TODAY, by VERNON BROWN

Today, I thought about tomorrow
Pushed yesterday away; time can’t be borrowed
On to the next, while I flex my intellect
The ‘friend zone’ is the endzone, still I bet
Follow the yellow brick road? To where?
That’s like havin’ a wave brush, wit’ no hair
Two books got me hooked on making it better
Two words got me in a state of ‘never’:
DON’T LOSE!
