ONE MISTAKE DOESN’T MAKE ME, by Demetrius C Arnold

Share

Decisions that we make can follow us for our lives
Mistakes that we make, others may use to cut like knives
The heart of the matter is that no one is deemed perfect
The world is a big top, we’re just characters in this circus.
One mistake doesn’t make me, although some wish that it might
We’ve all been in the dark and wished we had a light.
So when that day comes and we all will face judgement
Your day will come too, from me you’ll hear not an utterance.
So turn your backs, hell point and whisper
Mistakes can be atoned for, but burned bridges leave only rivers
One mistake doesn’t make me, several of the same just might
Who are you to judge me, as if you said “Let there be light”
We all have our day, be it good, be it bad
Only the strong survive, quitters put up the white flag
One mistake doesn’t make me, neither does opinions or thoughts
Because there’s only one man who’s decision to take up our mistakes, got Him nailed to the cross.
Found My Purpose
