It is now officially less than a year until my release date. Less than a year, after over 18 years. Guys in here always talk about how the last stretch goes slowly, but I’m not finding that at all. It’s like time is warping, flying forward faster and faster. And I almost find myself thinking “too fast, too fast,” because there are things I still want to finish here. But mostly that is just a function of my regret over past years, where I didn’t do as much as I should have. Now the time’s almost up, and I’ll be able to start over and be in a position where I can do much more anyway. A couple of people have asked me how it feels, and there’s only one word: amazing.
