When I came to prison I was alone and single. Then through a pen pal site I met Brenda whom took my heart and ran away with it. This was back in 2018. We got married by common law back in 2020. Then due to an illness she passed away on me and left myself without the love I had grown to depend on and strive for. Pen Palling is not just collecting stamps or trading postcards. It is about the connection with another person whether you become lovers or you just stay great friends. It is also a way to find family when your DNA family considers you a lost soul without redemption. I have family now that I can count on to be there for me in the times of need and just to listen when I need to talk. It is the family of my choosing and the one that God intended for me to have in the first place. Brenda taught me how to love again in so many ways. She taught myself to be able to give again to another person without a motive other than true love. So I dedicate this love blog to her because without her I would have been so lost for so many years. She taught me how to love again when I thought that love was just a myth out there. So when I say that love does exist it is real and a meaningful set of feelings that make changes in your life. I figure that I can love again to the right person and have so much more in life. I’d like to meet you and discover the real person in you that needs to be loved. Whether as a friend or as a lover I have so much to give. You get the benefits of previous years with Brenda good and bad. Can you love back is the question? Are you able to share your thoughts with me and be able to understand mine? I want to love again because I strongly feel that I have so much more to offer. Being in prison causes us to grow inward and prevent others from getting closer to us. I feel differently. I feel that I should let someone in due to the fact that I am so different. From the rest of the men that are in here. I need love and affection. I need to share my thoughts.
