Hello my name is Darryl Davis and I’ve spent the past 33 year’s of my life in prison. I would be lying if I said I regretted doing so, yet at the same time it was a wonderful blessing in a horrible disguise. There’s an African Proverb I learned while pursuing my college degree, “Until lions tell their tale, the story will always glorify the hunter.” This is my story there is a scripture in the Bible Matthew 16:26, For what is a man profited if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? In the last year we all have faced uncertainty in a profound with this pandemic (ie) COVID 19 over 530,000 souls were lost in America alone, and more than two million world wide. Many people today chase the bag or coins, selling their souls for a brief moment of fame. Reality shows of all sorts exploiting men and women, and even childrenat what cost? The question now in a age of so much uncertainty, should be how much do I value my soul? We were all brought with a price. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gavehis only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God himself so loved the world he sacrificed his only begotten son for us (the world.) I Corinthians 7:23 says ye are brought with a price; be not ye the servants of men. With that being said trust that my story will uplift and encourage all who chooses to read it. It can be found at Carolina Academic Press or Amazon in a book titled “Correctional Fundamentals” A Personal Narrative Approach by Authors Hayden Griffin III and Meghan Sacks, my story chapter 2 pgs 31-34.
