Assalaamu Alaikum!!

Sigh…. SMH!! You know how some people just make your day when you see them or talk to them?? Its so much going on in the world today let alone this country we live in and don’t get me started on inside this prison alone. Sometimes it can be very stressful just avoiding the daily B.S. but its mandatory I get out sooner than later. Its days like this that just drag by.. its cloudy, the season is changing, the air is more chill, and its cuddling season. Fall will always be my favorite season because when I was a kid it meant new shoes, clothes, and back to school. Now its just another season alone with out my sidekicks, my 3 amigos, my kids. Nevertheless, its moments like this when that one person can bring joy to day. I can normally go the whole day without talking to anyone in here BTW!! But these moments are like breaths of fresh air. They say you remember things because of how you felt in that moment. You might remember something bad because it made you feel afraid, scared, hurt, or angry. On the other hand recently I’ll remember these moments because it made me feel alive, understood, somewhat wanted, and happy. For others and memories we enjoy these times, these moments made us happy. Its even better when the person you want to see or the person you want to talk to makes the effort to do so when you least expect it but when you need it the most. You can call it a crush or a person of interest or just a friend… it could be your husband or wife or boyfriend or girlfriend.. your neighbor, religious leader, or your children.. No matter who they are.. they mean that much to you that they can have such a positive impact on you. Its an emotional connection that’s triggered instantaneously that makes you happier or upset. Its like sunbathing and then a big cloud blocks the sun and when the cloud passes by its back sunny again. So tell someone who’s there for you when you need them to be that you appreciate them whether they know how much they’re appreciated. Maybe its their amazing smile, positive energy, or a multitude of factors just let them know that they’re a breath of fresh air.. more so a blessing.
