Though it may “feel good” to see those who mistreat You face afflictions, it’s never okay to gloat over anyone’s suffering even if they “got what they deserved”. GOD enacts HIS Will for HIS Purposes, not Our likes & dislikes. We can’t allow someone else’s hate to direct the course of Our lives by becoming bitter, or filled with anger & frustration. Life is designed for Us to enjoy & be Beacons of Light shining in a dark world!
If You’re better than Your enemies, then be better than them, don’t act just like them.

I do not believe in the Christian or any other god. Nonetheless I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiments you express. The Beatitudes said it all, in terms of morality.
