The Leavening of the Pharisees and Modern Man Made Doctrines, by Matthew Puccio

Share

In Matthew 16:5-12 we see a warning from Jesus to His disciples (including us) to be ware of the leavening of the Pharisees. This includes what we are taught in today’s Churches. After all a little leavening will leaven the whole loaf (First Corinthians 5:6 and Galatians 5:9).

What people teach will take hold of someone either in a positive way building them up to become the best version of themselves, or it will corrupt them like an infectious disease slowly killing them with their poison.

The Pharisees and the Sadducees had an issue. They didn’t think that the Levitical laws were enough, so they added to it and created a burden on the Jewish people. Sad thing is they didn’t even uphold the same “laws” they established. In today’s modern Churches we call this doctrine.

Some Churches teach that men can’t have long hair, women are not allowed to where makeup, women can’t wear jeans, no piercings, no tattoos, no dyed hair, and things of the like. My question for you is, what does those things have to do with one’s acceptance by God? They have nothing to do with it since we are to go to God exactly how we are.

Those are burdens created to create stipulations on someone with what it takes to be accepted by THEM.

People also have an issue with using the pulpit as a way to teach their understanding and not as the Holy Spirit directs or guides. That is a major issue as we are told not to quench the Spirit. That means to grieve the Spirit, to limit the Spirit, and to ignore the Spirit by not allowing Him to move as He desires.

When this happens the person speaking is saying that their way as Ministers (of God’s Word mind you) is better than God’s. This creates a major problem on the part of the individual speaking. By false teachings (like man made doctrines) we will be condemned and guide those who accept it to being condemned as well. We see this in Matthew 12:37 and Second Corinthians 11:3,4. Those two scriptures are some very harsh lessons that should have all of us concerned.

This is why we need the Holy Spirit. He will guide all of us who believe in Him in all truth. That means even telling you that what is being said from the pulpit is true or false. He will only be heard when we humble ourselves and allow Him the proper free reign in our individual lives.

As a Minister it is my responsibility to teach as Jesus did by speaking in truth yet with love, but being a Minister doesn’t stop there. A Minister is also a Scholar, a Theologian, and an Ambassador for Christ. It is a huge responsibility that the Holy Spirit chooses who He desires for that spiritual position. This doesn’t mean that we as people still can’t get tripped up by our own pride.

A lot of corruption is taking place all throughout some of today’s Churches and it should have everyone of us highly concerned spiritually.

Don’t be like those in Corinth that the Apostle Paul told that they might as well just accept the folly and deal with it.

As Jesus come closer to His Triumphant Second Coming, these days will only turn more violent, more diseases like the current pandemic will arise, Church leaders will quit speaking truth, and many will come in His name and deceive many.

The only doctrine that matters is Jesus Christ born as fully man and fully God, living a perfect life, died for our sins, rose again, and is returning. That is one doctrine and the only doctrine that we need to be teaching.

Besides, what good is teaching a ideology of man when we are told to seek the mind of God?

David said in Psalms 109:7 that our very prayers may become our sin. How is this possible? It is possible due to the fact that when we go to God not being clothed in the Righteousness of Jesus Christ and clothed in unrighteousness we speak out of our own desires.

Here is an acronym for pride:

Putting
Resources
Into
Dogmatic
Egotism

There is a lot to take in here and it is all very harsh lessons, but why not allow the Holy Spirit to do what He does best and instruct in all truth?

Be aware of the modern Pharisees and Sadducees in our Churches pulpits. If they teach outside of the Gospel that Jesus gave us you know they are wrong. If they place stipulations and standards on you just to be welcomed, you know they are wrong.

Let’s all seek the mindset of Christ and the ideologies of God.

Lord Jesus come quickly!

As we close this out for now all of you are in my prayers. It’s by no mistake that this message was given, and it was by no mistake that times are changing. God bless all of you and place your trust in Him alone.
