I am sending you thoughts of hope, resilience, and care as we collectively witness a national moment of a reflection. In the midst of a pandemic, we now witness a national awakening to a centuries old wound and find ourselves between a place of deep pain and healing.
We are experiencing so many complex emotions in this landmark moment. They change from minute to minute, sometimes feeling many emotions all at once. I invite us all to create space within ourselves to feel their intensiy-to breath-and reflect.
“Earth teach me to Remember”
by John Yellow Lark
Earth teach me stillness
as the grasses are stilled with light.
Earth teach me suffering
as old stones suffer with memory.
Earth teach me humility
as blossoms are humble with beginning.
Earth teach me caring
as the mother who secures her young.
Earth teach me courage as the tree which stands all alone…
Earth teach me regeneration
as the seed which rises in the spring.
Earth teach me to forget myself
as melted snow forgets its life.
Earth teach me to remember kindness
as dry fields weep with rain.
I invite you to take a few more moments to reflect in our amazing and abiding human relationship with the air, water, soil and sun. I invite you to embrace this relationship with the rest of nature with a sense of curiosty, wonder and awe, and to take joy in the amazing interdependent unity of all things. I invite you to be especially grateful for nature and all her beauty.
Love and Light
Blessed Be!’
Maybe if everybody
stands their brooms
up again it’ll close
the portal and revese all this.
