Greetings. My name is Corey Devon Arthur, Din No. 98A7146. In 1997 I was arrested, tried, convicted and sentenced to 25 years to life for the robbery and murder of my High School English Teacher. I go before my first parole board in 2022.
I was born in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn New York, on December 18, 1977. I’m 42 years old. While incercerated, I’ve earned my Legal Research Certification, studied through Rising Hope, and Nyack College. I am currently the chairman of the Inmate Liaison Committee at Fishkill Correctional Facility. I am a writer, artist, and advocate for redemption. I’ve also been featured in three documentaries; 60 Minutes, Newsweek, and Lion’s Television to talk about my personal redemption.
I’ve had some of my writings published in anthologies, and newsletters. A number of my drawings have been published, awarded, and showcased in touring exhibtions. I’m currently working on a trilogy of short stories. My fictitious short stories are inspired by true events, with blends of the supernatural layered in between their narration.
My writing style is Influenced by Hemingway’s short story cycle, and C.S. Lewis spritual style of story telling. I hope to take my readers into the rarely exposed domain of my trek through the NYS prison system, as I journey towards redemption, or eternal damnation.
As the author and subject of these writings I hope to share my experiences as a damned prison yard gladiator turned contender for redemption. The over arching theme of my writing askes the reader and society two profound questions. First, Is there anything worth salvaging from Corey Devon Arthur? Secondly, Does Corey Devon Arthur have what it takes to fight for a dream he’s responsible for destroying.

You are a lying piece of garbage that is so cold blooded that you are not human. Just an animal that belongs in a zoo.
A part of me wants to believe he didn’t do it. And if he did, I just feel like there has to be a reason thats went unsaid, something the public doesn’t know, how can we understand when we don’t know all the pieces. I have no conclusion formulated.
