To: (Insert Delegate Name Here),

Please support legislation to expand the “Earned Sentence Credit” for men and women behind bars during the special legislative session this upcoming August.

With the way this COVID-19 pandemic has affected our nation and prisons specifically, we have now been able to truly see the ill effects of overcrowding our prisons.

Expanding the “Earned Sentence Credit” system will provide a data-driven way of reducing our prison population in Virginia, while releasing people who have truly become better citizens, creating a safer Commonwealth for us all.

I also encourage you to support legislation for further criminal justice, policing and prison reform.

Thank You!
Sincerely,
(Your Name),
American Tax Payer
