POEM by KARLTON M. KINCAID

Prince of Queens

,a prince of many black queens but then was abandoned.
,a prince of the streets, the streets left me stranded.
,a prince to who love me, to breathe without me you be.
,began as the prince of the streets, now’ve left the street free.

,a prince of many streets, but free of defeat.
,a prince to a queen, she icy as me.
,a prince to her love and triumps in feat.
,a prince to a battle, the fight to a beat.

,a prince to a king, he’s savvy in reach.
,a prince of his word, that stands on his feet.
,a prince to the ground, so gracious and steep.
,a prince’s last breathe, you taste when you breathe.

,the prince of a prince, are one when their seen.
,a prince is greater than those who they’ve seen.
,the prince of the seen, now lives unseen.
,the return of the prince, the day to believe.
