Here I take you into the mind frame of most young black children of the ghetto
And how they see themselves as thugs and drug dealers and will never let go
Here I take you through life from their class level
And show you why they find it so hard to ever settle
You see you have some who claim they can’t make it in white America because they are poor
Although they possess what it takes to turn that around, but how? They are not quite sure
You have some who claim they can’t make it in white America because they are black
But see maybe they would make it if they weren’t on the corner selling crack
Now because they are black, may be part of the reason
But most young black kids should stop being followers, and maybe should start leading
Lead their people to a better and promised land
And!
Prove to society that they possess what it takes to be a man
Cuz as it stands!
Most young black kids won’t make it today
Cuz just look at the number of how many young black kids whom are locked up today
So as a young black boy once put it he said, “You see everybody hate me, cuz I claim I’m a thug
So I don’t care, cuz nobody does.”
