Anger, you do realize that you’re about to make the biggest mistake ever, right? I mean, I’m just sayin’. You’re not only going to hurt yourself; you’re going to hurt the people that love you the most. Who will be there for your son, if not you? Who will protect your little princess as she grows up, if not you? How will you feel knowing that she’s out there looking for a father’s love in every man she meets? And I know you don’t want to find yourself telling some prison trustee, “take this soap and these cigarettes to my son. He’s in cell 35.” All because you wouldn’t listen, and instead, set the stage for your son to repeat the cycle. So, if you don’t want to take a step back for yourself, then take a step back for them. You have nothing to prove to anyone, but them, and yet you’re about to let these guys put the ‘cables’ on you and send you off? Man, I thought you was sharper than that. Are you? I guess only time will tell, but I’m betting you are. And maybe the next time we talk I’ll be able to give you a new name, and call you something else. Not anger — but maybe Wisdom, or Patience, or nothing at all.
