About Us

Inmate Blogger showcases the world’s largest collection of blogs written by inmates.  The site was founded  almost a decade ago by Suzie Bosko, who at the time was married to a prison inmate.  Suzie felt strongly that the therapeutic power of writing was a tremendous source of rehabilitation, growth and healing.  Believing that you can lock up a man, but you can’t lock up his mind, she created this platform to allow inmates — and really, anyone involved in the criminal justice system — to share their stories, opinions, struggles, and inner thoughts.

In 2018, Vice.com author Carmen Russo eloquently documented Suzie and her efforts at founding Inmate Blogger.  Read the story here.  Months later, in 2019, Suzie and her story were featured on a worldwide syndicated television talk show.  It’s safe to say that Inmate Blogger has gained worldwide attention and fans from all walks of life.

After working tirelessly for almost 10 years, Suzie has passed the baton to the team at Snaptura Inmate Services.  Inmate Blogger now has over 6,000 followers, and submissions from thousands of inmates around the world.  We are committed to continuing the legacy that Suzie created and keeping the platform FREE to all inmates.  Readers have a few subscription options, including a free plan.  Donations, no matter how small, are always appreciated and will go directly toward the funding and continued growth of this website.
