Hi. My name is Kevin Sollami. I am 55 and currently housed at Buckingham Correctional Center in Dillwyn, Virginia. I have been serving a life + sentence since 1989. I am parole eligible and hope to be paroled soon.

Blogging is new to me. I am one of many prisoners who don’t have people on the outside to speak for them. I have much to say, hopefully there will be those that are interested.

There is much that interests me, but there are only a few things that I am truly passionate about. I am an avid reader who gets lost in a good story. Besides well written fiction, I enjoy history and science. I work with my hands. How things function interest me and I have an an affinity with fabrication and repair. I love animals and miss having pets very, very much. To me, my pets are family.

I am not one of those inmates who claim to be innocent. However, I am not a sex offender nor have I ever hurt a woman or child. I don’t prey on the weak. I don’t prey on anyone. I killed a man in 1987 and there is not a day that goes by that I don’t think about that night. I accept responsibility for my actions and know I was wrong.

My crime does not define who I am. Especially now, 33 years later. Before judging me, get to know me. I am not a saint, but neither am I a devil.
