I understand and expected that you have become aware of the existence of my daughter’s online petition and my clemency petition to the Governor. I am NOT writing this to debate information, trade insults, explain myself, discuss the details of that night or ask for your support (obviously). I am simply wanting to say that I have spent the last 15 years wishing that I could change the outcome of that night for your family and tell you how sorry I am.
In prison you have plenty of time to think about EVERYTHING you have ever done in your life good or bad, to think about the “what ifs” and the “if only I had…”. and to think about all the people (your own family, friends, and also others you’ve never even met or knew existed) that you may have hurt along the way.
I understand you probably hate me for shooting Keith. That feeling may never change for you and you may not want it to. That’s understandable. Just know that I am truly sorry for ALL the hurt and pain that I have caused to each of you, especially Keith’s children. I sincerely wish I could give you the opportunity to have all the memories that you missed out on without your dad.
If Keith’s children or any member of his family would EVER like to write directly to me or talk face to face, in order to express your feelings no matter how angry, I would be willing to listen. I have no ill feelings towards any of you. I want YOU to have the opportunity to say ANYTHING that you wish directly to me in order to get the last 15 years worth of anger, pain, frustation, sadness, and hatred off of your chest, if it will in any way help YOU to heal.
I am not trying to convince you to ever change your mind about how you feel towards me or my family’s efforts to be reunited. Regardless of whether we ever speak in person, thru video visits, or by letters, etc., I wish nothing but the best for your family. I pray that your family continues to heal with time.

PS – I am writing this on Saturday June 20, 2020. The messages are not posted immediately and sometimes get drastically delayed, just to give you a reference point of when I am writing.
I pray that a is well with you. I hope there is the possibility of you being released by the Governor, if you aren’t already. Knowing and reading your story of how you became incarcerated infuriates me at the justice system. Write more blogs so I/we know how you are.
