Dwayne Walker

by Dwayne Walker

My first poem was written for the woman who took me into her home, my grandmother. In 2010, I was asked to say something at my grandmother funeral, and the birth of my poetry began. In 2011, I was incarcerated and really felt how lonely I began to become. Many emotions began to grow, and no one to talk to, so i talked to my paper. Sentenced to two decades mandatory, my anger grew and mind went in so many directions. Knowing the devil wants to always kill me, why should i help him, so i put my pain and life struggles in my poetry. Hoping my tomorrow becomes my best blessing, I will continue to use my paper and pen until that day come. *Contact me on JPAY.COM.
