Anthony Cockroft

Fallen, by Anthony Cockroft

Date. 7-17-13

I have no one to help me up
nor would they stand for me
now that I’ve fallen

Into the sun I stare
having intimacy with my hope
not noticing a tear has fallen

The world doesn’t absorb my energy
people doesn’t grasp my truth
for I display the word fallen

My wings has broken
life have seem to deny me
now under the earth I’ve fallen

Trying to find meaning to a life that’s lacking
just a memory in the minds of many
down to my knee’s I’ve fallen

How far is depth
how deep is down
I’m tired of falling
