A Forever Feeling, by Rodney Fenner

I’ve been waiting to tell you I love you since before we even met
Since before the timbre of your voice ignited flames in my chest
Before the thought of your presence made my heart undress
I already harbored this inexplicable love for you in excess

All the false alarms were just preparations for my destination
Women I thought were the one, only brought devastation
All the heartbreaks were just innovations for my elevation
Barriers I was breaking to diminish our segregation

You are so much more than just what’s advertised
Presenting me with things I never even thought to fantisize
It’s like every single aspect of you is heavily magnetized
Drawing me in to how this perfection is characterized

To worry of losing me is a bad waste of your time
Thoughts of me should be taking up better space in your mind
Like how I could hold you and fill up your private place from behind
Or how I’d love you in ways that would give sight to the blind

To me, you are everything words cannot describe
You are the twinkle in my eyes and the tingle in my spine
You are my exhale of pleasure whenever I enter inside
You are that feeling of knowing that you were meant to be mine

I’ve needed you so much more than you could ever know
Like I’d finally found the most important piece of my soul
You’ve completely changed the way I see life as a whole
Now in every scene of my life, you ensured yourself a role

Our love is undeniable and will only get unimaginably better
Because if souls are infinite, we’re already eternally together
Tied to one another with the power of destiny as a tether
So enjoy what we have because this feeling is forever
