Chp. One, Part 3
(cont. of Part 2)
* Ps. 113:6 – “He lowers himself to see in the heavens and IN the earth. He raises up the poor from the dust; and he lifts the needy out of the dunghill, in order to make him sit with nobles.”
* Ezk. 17:24 – “And all the trees of the field shall know that I, Yahweh, have brought down the high tree; and have exalted the low tree; and have dried up the green tree; and have made the dry tree to flourish. I, Yahweh, have spoken and acted.”
Finally, according to Ezk. 41:7, the building/construction of the Temple (i.e., one’s own inner mansion/sanctuary) is to begin with the “lowest chamber” (the “state-of-existence-awdawm/humility, as a foundation), and then work one’s way up (-ward). And at Ps. 25:8-9, we read: “Good and upright is Yahweh; therefore He will teach sinners in THE WAY. He will guide the meek (humble) in justice; and He will teach the meek His WAY.”
For now, let us leave-off referencing and return to our main body of a work, with the inclusion of references as we go. At this point, we are going back to our original “states-of-existence,” (dirt). Recognition of this concept ought to humble us before Yahweh, who breathed into us the breath of life (i.e., enlightenment), and called us to be awakened out of the darkness. If he had not done so, we’d still be nothing more than mere inanimated dirt.
One of the most problematic issues with our Westernized thinking is our “pride”. We tend to perceive “life” (this gift of God) as if we have some kind of REAL control over it. If only we’d be humble and come to the understanding that we are simply animated earthen vessels, and it is here within such that: “…we have this treasure…” (2 Cor. 4:7)(i.e., Yahweh commanding the light to shine out of the darkness”: i.e., a ref. to Gen. 1:1-5; John 1:1-5; and 1 Jn. 1:1-5); and Yahweh must’ve opened up our hearts and minds (to this conceptualization), via pouring His love into our hearts, via the paracletos, 3875 (Gk. intercessor, consoler)(See Rom. 5:5).
Also a problem is how our Westernized thinking is quite “outward,” which can be seriously misleading when it comes to translation of the Bible’s original languages. Concerning the “Kingdom of God,” Yashua Messiah said that we ought to “…seek ye first the kingdom of Yahweh and His righteousness…”(Mat. 6:33). Where do you suppose this kingdom is? Many present-day, proclaimed Christians believe it is their responsibility to set up the “Kingdom of God” here ON earth; and they aspire to do so via social, cultural, political and governmental means. Again, this is all Westernized thinking, and anyone who thinks this way is “still dead in trespasses and sins: you are DEAD wrong! In point of fact, our Lord and Savior, Yashua Messiah, clearly taught that such is profoundly just the opposite. He said: “The kingdom of Yahweh cometh not with observation: neither shall they say, ‘Lo here,’ or ‘lo there,’ for, behold, the kingdom of Yahweh is WITHIN you” (Lk. 17:20-21). Did you catch that? Again, Yashua stresses that the kingdom of Yahweh is “WITHIN” you! Not ‘on’ earth (the Lord’s model prayer even uses the Greek “ev”/ Eng. “in”)(Mat. 6:10; and Lk. 11:2, when conveying the thought-form of the idea that this conceptualization is INWARD). Not “ON” earth, but “WITHIN” these earthen vessels is where the Kingdom of Yahweh is; this is “the treasure in earthen vessels,” spoken of at 2 Cor. 4:7. And we also should stress that this treasure cannot be contained, as in the idea of a physical appreciation, but it can ONLY be attained unto, as in the idea if one accessing a gateway to a flight, in order that they might journey to attain it. But again, it isn’t far from thee, or hard to find: “…it (the kingdom of Yahweh) is not hidden from thee, neither is it afar off….But the WORD is very high unto thee, IN thy mouth and IN thy heart…” (one’s center)(see Deut. 30:11-14); and we also note Eph. 3:16, which reads: “…strengthened with might by Yahweh’s spirit IN the INNER MAN.” And we add as a closure that Paul said he would “…delight in the law of Yahweh after the INWARD MAN” (ROM. 7:22).
The idea that, Spiritually, the kingdom of Yahweh is something WITHIN is expressed in quite complex thought-forms, stories, narratives, prdoohecies, etc., throughout the Bible. It is this INWARD MAN within our earthen vessels, that we must attend to, and attain unto. In correcting the Pharisees, whom Yashua considered “spiritually blind,” He expressed with zero ambiguity the fact that their outward appearances were not the proper initial approach. Yashua chastised them: “Ye blind guides…woe unto you, scribes and pharisees, hypocrite, for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within you are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is WITHIN…that the outside may be clean also….Ye are like unto whited sepulchres (pretty coffins), which indeed appear beautiful (outwardly) but are WITIN full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so you also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but WITHIN you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.” — Mat. 23:24-28
Thus, beginning inwardly, and as we initially begin our journey in the aw-dawm ‘state-of-existence’ (humbleness), we come to comprehend just how pitiful we are as dirt, and how utterly-reliant we are upon Yahweh. And knowing all of this ought to make us contrite (see Ps. 51:1-19).
And ultimately, when one is AWAKENED (called/drawn/compelled, Jn. 6:44), by Yahweh, to be a novitiate of The Way, and genuinely let’s go of SELF, and follows Yahweh’s leadership (Heb. 5148, “nachah”), they’ll need to prepare themselves for His “earthen-vessel-test” (Deut. 8:2). One is not slimy permitted to jump into this pilgrimage (q.v., 4033; look this up). You are to sojourn (i.e., stop and learn from Yahweh as your Guide, at each successive state of existence. Enjoy. Selah.
