Proverbs 22:1 reads: A good name is to be chosen rather than great wealth. I really live by the code and principal that MY NAME IS ALL THAT I HAVE. And I will not let anyone destroy it or slander it. Nor will I slander anyone else’s name or put anything false on it. No matter if its someone I like or not. Slander is not cool. When I was going through my trial they slandered and besmirched my name royally. It really hurts and angers you when people say things about you that aren’t true. And it really hurts when its your inner circle. I had a situation not to long ago that kind of threw me for a loop. I knew that this guy FOR A FACT WAS SPEAKING THINGS THAT WERE NOT TRUE about someone we both knew. So when I told the third party what was said, they still continued to hang out with the same person that was slandering them. You see,actions speak louder than words. So by their actions they told me that they were alright with what he was doing.And it was really like a slap in the face.Because if your name is all that you have, ACT LIKE IT! I would never socialize or hang out with anyone who I knew was slandering my name. Unless they didn’t believe me and they thought I was lying. But that’s cool to. If they want to be pulled off a cliff blindfolded than so be it.I did my part by warning them. And it seems like they are angry with me for telling them the bad things that were being put on their name, instead of the person who was besmirching there name.It really blows my mind, because my intentions and motives were pure.In prison or any other institution, such as schools, the military, factories etc… basically where their are groups of people. You have to nip it in the bud,before the small weed grows into a tree. Because some people will start to believe what’s being said. At first when I approached the third party, Their was no doubt in my mind that the things that were said were not true. But how they have responded to the TRUTH I gave them, I’m starting to feel like I gave this intelligent person to much credit. IF YOUR NAME IS ALL THAT YOU HAVE, LET YOUR ACTIONS REFLECT THAT.
