INMATE POEMS

HARD TIMES -(where I’m at), by James Harris

poem

I’m in a place where dogs gettin more love then me
I’m in a place where I can’t have sex, but if I jack off they call me a creep
I’m in a place where if you soft, then you barely get to eat, and if you can’t back up what you talk then you bet not even speak
cause I’m in a place where niggas gone try you if you sweet
I’m in a place where its real life booty bandits, and they prey on the weak
I’m in a place that a lot of people can’t handle so they prey every week
I’m in a place where niggas work everyday for just 3 dollars a week
I’m in a place where its loud all day and you can’t even sleep
I’m in a place where mouthin off to C/O’s will get you beat
real shit
I’m in a place where they mace you wit the same stuff they spray the bears with
I’m in a place where they got the green light to hit you with night sticks
I’m in a place where its dangerous so you might have to cop you a icepick
