Appreciation, by Mark Blain

Greetings Fellow Humans and All Other Entities of Intelligence,

I am not certain how many people this salutation and expression of appreciation may reach, but it is my highest hopes that it — if possible — it reaches every single sentient life force in existence.

First, I’d like to express my most gracious feelings of gratefulness for Mrs. Suzie Jennings (Founder and CEO of http://www.InmateBlogger.com, which allows me to compose writings to anyone whom wishes to read them; if not for Suzie, this would not be possible). Suzie is, from the little I know, one of the most brave and caring people amongst us. She selflessly pays her own money to help the helpless, and spends countless hours each month to keep the lines opened for those whom once had NO LINE. Despite being berated by bullies on the internet and other news media, for helping us, she continues her heartfelt belief that EVERYONE deserves to be heard. To this I say:

THANK YOU, SUZIE!!! THANK YOU VERY, VERY MUCH!!! In your honor the following is a composition expressing this LOVE that you demonstrate by your deeds. It is originally by a woman named “Barb Upham.”

Love takes time. It needs a history of giving, receiving, laughing and crying. Love never promises instant gratification, only ultimate fulfillment. Love means believing in someone, in something. It supposes a willingness to struggle, to work, to strive, to suffer and more, all in order to someday rejoice! Satisfaction and fulfillment are products of dedication to something — in this case, LOVE. It belongs to those who reach beyond themselves; to whom giving is more of a treasure than receiving. Love is doing everything within your power to help others build their dreams. Such requires and involves thoughtful listening, doing whatever needs to be done, and fostering whatever will promote another’s happiness, security, well-being, and their peace of mind. Love is on a constant journey to what others need. It must be attentive, caring, and open to what others say and try to discern what they cannot say. Sometimes love says “no,” but it does so with empathy and great compassion. Love is firm, but when needed, it can also be tender. When others have tried and failed, love is the hand reaching out to others in their moments of discouragement and disappointment. Love is always reliable. It is a choice of commitment to the future happiness of anyone that you come into contact with. You are forever dedicated to another’s growth, nurturing, maturing and fulfillment. Sometimes we encounter a failure for lack of wisdom, but love forgives failure. At other times love encounters injustice because of weakness and fragility in another. Again, love knows no limits in forgiveness. Love does not attach conditions. It is always FREE. Love realizes and accepts that there will be moments of disagreeing, disturbing trials of ones limits and their emotions, grating of nerves, and at times, when miles may lay between healing of hearts. But love is a commitment: it believes in itself; and that kind of love endures all things. Love NEVER rejects; it is ever- and all-embracing. Ultimately, true LOVE is the last to condemn and the first to forgive.
