INMATE POEMS

All Well, by John Caudill

Oh well,
tired of living in this cell,
tired of burning up in hell,
praying to no avail.
Oh well,
thoughts of will i ever prevail,
i cant tell,
smells of discord and distrust got me afraid to come out of my shell.
Oh well,
they say all well that ends well.
with a fake smile on my face i reply to ”how are you doing” ”All well”.
Oh well.
