Today I would like to speak on redemption, second chances, rehabilitation, and the life of Keith “Chaos Loc” Brooks. What sparked this conversation is the reaction that some people had to the first book I’ve chosen to publish. My new book “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” is about the life that I was living before I transitioned into a fulltime businessman.

I decided to share my story with the world hoping that everyone could relate to the lifestyle that was normal to me. Since the release of my book “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop”, I found out that people outside of my culture cannot relate to my reality. A lot of people assume that they know how life behind bars is, but they don’t have the slightest idea of what’s really going on.

In my new book, I explained what my experiences was like in prison as a juvenile and an adult. In my book, I take you on a real trip through the prison system with hopes that readers will truly understand what prison is really like. The message that I am sending to the readers is not negative. I gave the readers 16 tips on how to do time the easy way, without having any major problems with other inmates or guards. Although I chose to do my prison time the hard way, my message is still positive. I’m the one that was making inmates and prison guards life a living hell. Running into violent prisoners like me is the main reason why people shouldn’t commit crimes and come to prison. That was a big part of the message that I was sending out to the readers.

Inmates are constantly committing suicide and getting murdered behind these prison walls. Juvenile prisoners all across the nation is getting abused and murdered by staff. Juvenile offenders are constantly being driven to commit suicide due to the mistreatment by staff. I’ve seen it, lived through it, and went to war about it. In the chapters “Juvenile Life” “Doing Time My Way” and “The Rise Of O.C.O.”, I spoke in detail about everything in detail. Read those chapters on Kindle, or just purchase the whole book and feel me. In my chapter “Murder Was The Case”, I spoke on what lead me to juvenile prison for the very first time. I explained what really happened in detail, and was extra honest about how I felt about the whole situation. A lot of people run from reality and try to sugarcoat tragic situations. I am not a super emotional person, so I have no problem with hearing the truth about a person’s tragic story. Even if they cut up a person’s body in little bitty pieces, ate the meat and drank the bloodk, I wouldn’t stop listening to their life story. What they did might be wrong and insane, but it’s still the reality of that person’s life. It’s always good to learn about new things about all of the different type of people in this twisted world.

It’s a lot of things that I can’t relate to. That doesn’t mean that I can’t think outside of the box and learn about new things. Since my incarceration, I have learned a lot about living a positive lifestyle. I come from the hood. Although I come from a middle class successful family, I still grew up in the hood. I’m true to what made me the person I am today. I will never lose touch with the reality of who I am, but I will always strive to be the best corporate businessman that I can be, so I can continue to live a peaceful life. Redemption in my life is real, and will be respected.
