BEAUTIFUL SOUL, by Maurice Williams

Hopeful love motivating her efforts
The pain of loss
not strong enough to spoil the nectar
What can control the heart
Deviated paths unmindfully walked
Secrets loudly spoke by actions
revealing thoughts latent
satiating the need to be open
from the walls built to close out hurt
Self-inflicted from thoughts predicted
Past experience forever whispered
Baggage lifted upon the shoulders
of emotional hoarders
Feeding the preconcieved notions
the fears the lie behind the eyes
only seen by those with deep perception
Gifted understanding
percieving the reason your love is used as a weapon
Wounded by those swore to protect it
searching for love perfected
Beautiful soul . . . neglected
