Minority Chat, by Mark Hooker

It’s hard to believe that we’re thought of as equals, when the rich and the poor are yet two separate people, and they wonder why poor people tend to be evil, when there’s better protection for flags and bald eagles.

If they had it their way, there’s still be segregation, and we’d all live together on someone’s plantation, don’t look forward to payback there’s no reparations, no 40 acres, no mule but there’s incarceration.

That’s their little way to control population, keep us locked up for years and then give us probation, but we’re really not free cause they add stipulations, and they’ll lock us back up if there’s one violation.

It’s a catch 22 but try hard to maintain, you can win if you learn you must play their same game, after the storm the sun’s after the rain, but know you’re not alone because I feel your pain.
