The Relocking Heart, By ANGELO VASQUEZ

the affections in front of me…
nonexistent presence…
tears strike down
your soul weakly trotting
can’t you fall this way
this way towards me.
enough of this
enough of love
it’s presence is nonexistent
nothing is as real as it should be
slow lightning gives away
cold flame.
Distant laughter echoes
alone in lights bane
and its false hopes
intersect the ecliptic desires
how nostalgic to dance around fire
o’ how I desire to fall in
and swim in this astral pyre
perceptions of duration prevent the
soiled orbs rotations
forces premature growth grows cold
in the palm is the heart
in the heart is winter
