Kammy Igo

Introducing Kammy Igo

Kammy Ann Igo is my full name, I’m 20 years old and I’m currently serving a 2 year prison sentence for drug trafficking. I’ve been down about 10 months so I have 14 months left. There a lot that goes on inside these walls and even though I am incarcerated, my mind is very much free! I’m taking this time not as a punishment but as a time to better myself. Turning adversities into opportunities. I’m getting to know and learn what the word resilience means and am able to use it in my everyday life here.

I’m a young woman with an old soul, using this time to store more knowledge and gain more wisdom.

  1. Dear Kammy, glad you are being positive during this time. You know what you did and I hope that when you come out you will be a better person to yourself and others. We only have one life to live on this earth. Make it count! You are young and I wish you well !

  2. Good for you, Kammy. I am happy to hear that you are using this time to better yourself. We all should be doing that everyday, whether we are incarcerated or not! You are young – and you have your whole life ahead of you. Hopefully, you will leave there a wiser woman, ready to live your best life, and encourage those around you to do likewise. Perhaps your experience can help others avoid those same mistakes. God bless you!
