Please Help Suzie Get This Grant For InmateBlogger By Writing A Letter, by Steven Jennings

Suzie has dedicated countless hours building and managing InmateBlogger into what it is today. She volunteers her time and teaches herself as she navigates the blogosphere. Please nominate Suzie for this G2 Overachievers Grant:

The 2018 $50,000 G2 Overachievers Grant will be awarded by Pilot Pen to one exceptional individual who gives back to their community and improves the lives of others. Entrants will need to submit 1,000 to 2,500 handwritten words expressing how they or someone they know is overachieving in this way. (

Suzie has shared over 3940 blog posts, inspired and encouraged over 700 inmates from all over the U.S. to blog on her site. She gives them a voice, a platform to be heard from, and she doesn’t charge them a penny for this selfless service she provides. Please read these Thank You and Gratitude notes from the inmate bloggers.

We want to expand Inmate Blogger and reach out to thousands more inmates with this blogging opportunity. We support, understand, and believe that writing can be a great source of rehabilitation, growth, and healing. If won, the grant funds will go towards: advertising, marketing, domain name renewal, email software, web design, stamps, getting a PO Box, and all other business expenses.

Please nominate Suzie for this G2 Overachievers Grant. Here are more details:

Overachievers can change the world. Pilot Pen invites you to nominate yourself or someone you know who goes above and beyond to improve the lives of others.

Send a handwritten story describing what you or someone you know did to be a difference maker. Share where it happened, how it worked, who it impacted and why it mattered. There’s a 2500 word maximum for each entry and you can submit them by uploading to our entry page or via mail:

ASC/Pilot G2 Contest
300 State St. Suite 402
Rochester, NY 14614

Participants must describe in a minimum of 1,000 to a maximum of 2,500 handwritten words why Participant believes the Nominee to be an Overachiever (the “Nomination Story”). The Nomination Story must address each of the following questions:

1. Who are you nominating? Please provide in your nomination the Nominee’s contact information (name/email address/phone number/current employment status/etc).
2. Why do you believe the Nominee to be an Overachiever, meaning one who has overcome challenges to achieve extraordinary success beyond their typical workday obligations?
3. How has the Nominee improved the lives of others?
4. What is the Nominee’s overall goal?
5. What is the biggest challenge currently facing the Nominee?
6. How would the $50,000 Grand Prize Grant help the Nominee to achieve his or her goal?

Participants do not need to answer the questions in order or repeat each question prior to responding. Contest Entities, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to disqualify any nomination if the Nomination Story does not respond to all five questions.

The 2018 $50,000 G2 Overachievers Grant will be awarded by Pilot Pen to one exceptional individual who goes beyond their everyday jobs and responsibilities to give back to their community and improve the lives of others.

Submissions for the G2 Overachievers Grant will be accepted until December 31st, 2018.
