What to do? by Matthew Epperson

As I come closer to the completion date of my novel Ruse of Discontent, questions come to mind. Should I self publish with an online platform like ebooks, or should I use my Writers’ Market 2018 book to contact publishers or agents? I am an artist, and I don’t want my creation to be tampered with. Yes, yes, I know an editor is going to tamper with it anyways. But I’m not referring to that sort of tampering. You know? I’m not quite sure what I’m referring too. I don’t want to be schmucked is what I’m saying, and I feel that self publication is the safest way to insure that I won’t. However, I also want some notoriety for my novel and I want it to get into the right faces, which is what an agent or publisher should be good for. I’m concerned about the wolves out there; the people who are out for self interest and they are out to rob artists of their creations. I just don’t know what to do. Perhaps some of you can give me some advice? If you would, feel free to write me at my prison location. Or, send me a jpay message and tell me your thoughts. I will gladly appreciate it and thoughtfully read every message/letter sent.

Go see something live!
