POEM by- KARLTON M.KINCAID

“ICON”

an idol’s dawn,
arise a star a sun,
absorbed of life the one,
my epitome an icon,

a mime of great perfection,
the story told of which reckon,
people emulate who beacons,
an icon am I reasons,

I symbolize a sacred one,
iconic am which praise won,
selfless servant, a loyal palm,
the icon serves a peoples bond,

I’m a sign sought beyond,
though unhidden, a secret dawns,
an icon’s service, a spark; it’s on,
oblige, the held torch in your palm,
