Leroy Brock 300882 , age 49 my release date is 8-8-19 Raymond Laborde Correctional Center I was deep into the streets life. All i knew was the streets ,drugs & guns . At one point in my life i tryed to do the streets as well as being a family man but the streets came out on top. Everything im going through was told to me . I was told to do what God have call me to do if not He would take my strength. If i didn’t get it together then i would go do more time . I ran, i was like Jonah running from my calling. As i was running i was in a bad accident layed up 3months in the hospital & lost my physical health .Being uneducated i didn’t believe i could do the job i was called to do. Im really not a preacher but i bring the word of God.The apostle Paul’s imprisonment allowed him ministry among the inside world & thats what i do. Im a Navigator i tell BIBLE storys to the body as well as the lost & i connect with them that the preacher can’t reach .Before we had paper & pin the BIBLE was past on from one to the other by word of mouth & thats what we call a Navigator . I come from selling & doing dope to talking about God & giving hope. ——-I Ran Like Jonah by Brock The Lord said to Jonah ,”Leave right now and go to Nineveh. You’er to tell them Im going to judge them because of their wickedness . Jonah didn’t want to go. He knew that God was merciful and would forgive the people of Nineveh if they repented. The people of Nineveh was ruff & voilent . He didn’t want that ,so he ran as far away from God’s will and went to the seaport town called Joppa. He bought a ticket and got on a ship going to Tarshish which is the opparsite way from where God told him to go. Jonah wanted to get far away from God’s will so there would be no possibility of Ninevehs repenting. He aboard a ship & once the ship was out at sea, God sent a violent storm to hit it. the sailors were terrified becaus the storm was about to destroy their craft and drown them .They threw their cargo overboard to lighten the load. When that didn’t help, they prayed to their various gods. While all of this was going on, Jonah was asleep down in the hold of the boat. The captain woke him up and said ,” How can you sleep in a time like this ?We’er about to die. Get up and pray to your god.” Eventually the sailor figured out that this storm was directed at only one person on the ship. They cast lots to see who it was. The resuits showed that Jonah was the reason for their troubles. They said,” who are you, and what have you done ?” He said , “I serve the lord God ,who made the sea and the dry ground. But i’m running away from him.” Suddenly the storm got worse ! The men screame at Jonah,”What should we do to you to calm the storm?” Jonah yelled back,”God only wants one thing and the storm won’t stop until He gets it.You’er to grab me and throw me overboard.”The men didn’t want to kill a innocent man, so they work even harder to fight against the storm and get to land. Finally they realized they couldn’t fight God.So they cried out to the Lord and asked him for mercy for what they were about to do.They then grabbed Jonah and threw him overboard. Immediately, the storm stopped ! The men were shocked at the power of God. They fell to the deck and worshiped the Lord and vowed to serve only him. God had a large fish waiting for Jonah as he went into the water. The fish immediately swallowed him,and he stayed in the fish’s stomach for 3 days. Jonah prayed and acknowledged that it was God who put him in the fish. He finally said , I’ll give you what you want. I thank you for your will, and do what you want me to do.”With that , the Lord spoke to the fish. It went to land and vomited Jonah onto the shore. The Jonah went handle God’s business .Like Jonah when i come out the belly this time i’ll do what God called me to do . Without complainning !!! No more running !!!
