Religious Blog. by: Jeremy Summers

” Man’s ultimate question has been “Where do we come from? Why are we here?” I have deep studied numerous religions from the biggest to the smallest. I’m not a scholar or claim to know all. Only my opinion from what I have learned. For 19 years I was brought up as “Wiccan”. In 2012 I began to question my faith and decided to research religions for truth. The last 6 years Islam has been my faith as it (Qur’an) has been word for word for over 1400 years, and prophet Muhammad (pbuh) lived a humble honest and trustworthy life. Even his enemies trusted him with their possessions and life. The same cannot be said of Jesus or Moses. I am not trying to convert nobody so do not mistake my blog as a conversion blog. I studied Christianity but upon research of how the crusades and he church tricked or killed our ancestors into conversion and by doing so destroying parts of our ancestry history. Islam has done the same over the years. In the last 2 years I began another deep study. I have come to believe that all spiritual paths no matter what you believe in lead to the same place. If you believe in heaven then that’s where your going, if you believe in reincarnation then that is what will happen. Mind over matter. If you believe with all your purpose then that is where the soul shall rest. I do not believe in hell for this reason: If hell was real then all the millions of people who lived before Abraham, Noah, Jesus, and Muhammad and believed in their gods or whatever they practiced, they are all in hell? NO! Impossible! We are brainwashed into believing in one god. But the truth is there are many and we should have a choice to discover, read and find our own path to our paradise. If anyone is well educated in Buddhism then I’d love to build more, as I use Buddhism as a philosophy and the meditation to center myself.”

  1. Many years ago now I embarked on a serious effort to sort out in my mind what was to be found in religion. You are right; it in our nature to question where we came from and why.

The only use I have found for religion is to make me more introspective and reflective. And the moral teachings of the Noble eight fold path or the Beatitudes are irreproachable.

Personally I have no time for divinities or gods. I have no use for them. But the search for the transcendental is altogether something else. Man’s conviction that there must be something he is missing. That there is something out there greater or better than what we see around us. That we can improve our lives and find meaning.

To some extent that is what religion has sought to do over the millennia. But perhaps today science can do that for us rather better. That is my belief anyway.

  2. Who ever said “I Am the way, the truth and the life” but Jesus alone? Who ever died for your sins but Jesus alone? Did Joseph Smith? Muhammad? Etc. Did they rise from the dead? Nope, Jesus alone did. Can they forgive you of your sisns? Nope, Jesus alone can. The Bible teaches the is only one God, not many or as some think, three. Jesus said, “For what good work do you stop r me”? They said, not for any good work, but because you being a man, you make yourself out to be God. Let that sink in. Jesus loves you, He came to die for you on the cross, not them. He rose from the dead to give you eternal life, not them.

  3. I have thought of you and have prayed for you many times over the years, often with the hope that I could one day share with you about “the One who can fill all the empty places in your heart. Imagine my surprise when I came across this blog of yours. I have no idea if you still read these comments but I do know God has perfect timing….and when you do happen to read this, it will be in God’s perfect timing.
I would like to ask you to read a few verses that may help answer a few questions of yours.
    Romans 4:3-8 -God counted
Abraham righteous because of his faith in God. Faith in God has always been the basis of salvation. Jesus is God. God indwelled in flesh. The shed blood of Jesus Christ redeemed humanity from sin and reconciled us to God the Father. To accept this gift of salvation from sin we must repent and believe. When we do, we are cleansed from all sin/unrighteousness. We can’t work to earn our way to heaven. Salvation is through faith in Jesus alone. He loved us.so much he paid the cost for all our sins through death on the cross.
Please read Colossians 1:15-23 it may surprise you as to the Divine nature of Jesus.
And as far as the crusades….Christian’s often blow it. Jesus was humble, he loves us so much he died for us. He didn’t condone killing. In fact he died to forgive those who sin.
Gotquestions.org is amazing for questions about Christianity. Check it out.
Also check out Acts17Apologetics on Youtube. I don’t know a lot about Muslim faith but this guy has researched the Muslim faith extensively. He’s got quite an interesting life story. Watch his testimony. He started as atheist, is now Christian. He was best friends with a Muslim, who eventually converted to Christianity. It’s truly an interesting perspective. He has a really crazy sense of humor so some of his videos are over the top but it goes along with his life story, who he is and what he’s dealt with in his own head.
I truly respect with all my heart your right to choose your faith and path in life. Please know that me sharing about Jesus is because I care about you. I met you when you were a boy and I’ve always wanted you to find peace. This is truly from my heart. Please forgive me if it sounds preachy. I just want you to know the Jesus I know because he alone has given me a peace beyond anything the world could ever give and I would love for you to have that peace with God too.
Please cry out to Jesus and ask him to reveal truth to you. If you seek the truth with all your heart God will reveal it to you.
I’m committed to praying for you every day this week starting now.
    Dear Father,
I come to you and ask that you reveal truth to Jeremy. Lord Your ways are far above our ways, I know I can trust in You in this situation. Draw Jeremy close to You, reveal that You are the One True God, that because you loved Jeremy so much you sent your son Jesus who you were please to live in with all of your fullness. Jesus became the payment for sin, to die on the cross for us all. It is in him we can find our hope. Father help Jeremy find peace in knowing that every sin he has ever committed can be forgiven because of the shed.blood of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. Father your love for us.is more than we can comprehend. Father I pray that you free Jeremy from any chains of the enemy. In Jesus Name Father open his eyes to see Your truths! Set him free of any blinders the enemy has put on! Allow Jeremy to see clearly Lord. Father allow him to sense your love and peace. Help him Father, please help him find inner peace.
    In Jesus Name Amen.

  4. Romans 10:9-10
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raises him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by co fessing with your mouth that you are saved.

13-For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Continuing to pray for you Jeremy.

  5. Dear Jeremy,
I love these passages of freedom.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
    John 3:16‭-‬21 NIV

God’s Only Son is Jesus. He is truth and light. Jesus loves you Jeremy.

  6. Dear Jeremy,
Please read the book of John in the Bible.
I’m praying the Lord touches your heart with its grace-filled truth.
Jesus loves you. He has always loved you.

  7. Dear Jeremy,
I am still praying for you. The greatest hope and peace is found in Jesus Christ. It is through him alone that we can be made right with God.

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, for he was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he makes sinners right in his sight when they believe in Jesus.
    Romans 3:23‭-‬26 NLT

I pray God draws you to Him, opens your heart to the truth of his word. May you find peace in Him.
    Sincerely,
    Prayer Warrior
