Response to Readers by John Hamilton

I briefly want to express my gratitude for your feedback. I take to heart your sentiments and respect all responses, even those that may counter my opinion or experiences. I always remain open to differing points of view and encourage your input.

What’s most vital is if anything I’ve written strikes a nerve, act upon it. Inquire, investigate and remain insistent that those responsible for any impropriety are held accountable. While some of the nuance topics I broach may appear importunate or even seem inconceivable, always be mindful that absolute power without accountability irrevocably inflicts irreconcilable harm, both to the government and the people.

Checks and balances are the cornerstone to any democracy. It’s irresponsible to ever neglect that vital balance of power. Although we may be at odds with our values or morals, at least in this country, a mutual respect for diversity is paramount. Let’s all value what an open mind can achieve.

God Bless each and everyone of you for taking the time to read and for your articulated reponses. Together, change for the better isn’t just possible, but I pray probable. Let the power of the people prevail.
