Our Blessed Blood Lines!
When one is an actor or actress on stage, there is always a story or script.
Something to follow,
instructions inscribed,
so are each in this life…
on HIS map, in HIS Book.
Our roles as HIS children are sovereignly cast; each with purpose
HE perfectly scribed.
With footprints HE leads,
each day on each page;
so we memorize words
in HIS WORD, as we walk.
But unlike the world which quickly recasts us, in each frame HE designed, we are found!
Though stumbling remains,
HIS grace still retains us,
so joyous…we serve HIM
WHO AUTHORED our cleansing!
Hallelujah! Life’s plot line was scripted by CHRIST to include every cast member sown!
By HIS sacrifice made,
HE WHO had known no sin
wrote our lines for this life
in HIS blood, sealed with Grace!

Devotional: Ephesians 4:11-13 “And it was HE WHO gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for works of ministry, to build up the body of CHRIST until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the SON of GOD, as we mature to the full measure of the stature of CHRIST.”
What a summary of why HE gives us unique paths in the roles HE cast us FOR! To equip and build up the Body!
This list provided is by no means all encompassing for the roles HE has given are countless in number. But each is purposed and assigned to each individual “cast member”!
1 John 4:16 “And so we know and rely on the love GOD has for us. GOD is love. Whoever lives in love lives in GOD, and GOD in them.”
What joy to know HIS assignments are done with perfect love! Though we question why we’re placed somewhere at times, HE has an eternal purpose which we almost always cannot see.
But GOD! Rich in Grace, Glory and mercy, calls our “cast of characters”
as HIS Beloved! Hallelujah! Hallelu, YAHWEH!
Romans 5:8-9 “But GOD demonstrates HIS own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, CHRIST died for us. Since we have now been justified by HIS blood, how much more shall we be saved from GOD’s wrath through HIM!”
And being perfectly cast in roles designed to interact with the Body and the Lost, we know that HIS love shall redeem us as HE promised! We know that HE will never leave nor forsake us!
Deuteronomy 31:6,8 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; HE will never leave you nor forsake you.”
“The LORD HIMSELF goes before you and will be with you; HE will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
I love HIS repetition which makes it doubly certain! HE will NEVER recast you off of HIS set! HE may have us wear two or three hats / joint roles but!!
HE calls us HIS own and HIS plans for each of us ARE eternal!
1 Peter 5:6-7 “And GOD will exalt you in due time, if you humble yourselves under HIS mighty hand by casting all your cares on HIM…because HE cares for you.”
So see the cast list as having only ONE major character. CHRIST HIMSELF. We are all, in a poor analogy, HIS “supporting cast”…but not that there is any lack in HIM.
By no means and in no way! Rather, we cling to HIM as HIS children and daily “recast” our cares upon HIM…the AUTHOR and FINISHER of our scripts.
So! 1 Corinthians 1:26 “Brothers and sisters, consider your calling: Not many were wise from a human perspective, not many powerful, not many of noble birth.” HE chose us from all walks of life and from all sorts of stages!
So take heart in GOD’s promises, Romans 11:29! HIS gifts and HIS calling in this life are irreversible and irrevocable! HE will have us serve in our “parts” in life till HE returns!
