Thank You/Tupac Poems By: Difference (AKA: James Kelly)

Share

I really want to say thank you to anyone and everyone, who is reading my blog. Especially my mom (love you mom), Suzie Jennings for her hard work of running this site, Phil B. and Tara L. Thank you all very much. I will work on my punctuation and grammar. If anyone is interested in writing to me, or emailing me directly, can do so at Jpay.com or write me at the prison. Thank you all so, so much. God bless you all.
The following are poems by Tupac Shakur. This young man was taken from earth before his time. But lives with us all on a daily basis. He was far more than a rapper, a actor, or a thug. He was a very special child of God. My heart and prayers go out to his Mother, and the mother of Christopher George-Latore Wallace (AKA The Notorious BIG). Just know that your sons did not die in vain. They live vicariously through us all every day. God bless the dead.

The Rose That Grew From Concrete
Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete? Proving nature’s laws wrong it learned 2 walk without having feet. Funny it seems but by keeping its dreams it learned 2 breathe fresh air. Long live the rose that grew from concrete, when no one else even cared!
Life Through My Eyes
Life through my bloodshot eyes would scare a square to death. Poverty, murder, violence, and never a moment to rest. Fun and games are few, but treasured like gold to me. Cuz I realize that I must return 2 my spot in poverty. But mock my words when I say my heart will not exist unless my destiny comes through and puts an end 2 all of this.
Sometimes I Cry
Sometimes when I’m alone I cry because I’m on my own. The tears I cry are bitter and warm. They flow with life but take no form. I cry because my heart is torn and I find it difficult 2 carry on. If I had an ear to confide in, I would cry among my treasure friends. But who do you that stops that long to help another carry on. The world moves fast and it would rather pass you by than 2 stop and see what makes you cry. Its painful and sad and sometimes I cry and no one cares about why.
If I Fail
If in my quest to achieve my goals, I stumble or crumble and lose my soul. Those that knew me would easily co-sign, there was never a life as hard as mine. No father-no money-no chance and no guide. I only follow my voice inside. If it guides me wrong and I do not win. I’ll learn from my mistakes and learn to achieve again.
A River That Flows Forever
4- Mother
As long as some suffer
The river flows forever
As long as there is pain
The river flows forever
As strong as a smile can be
The river flows forever
and as long as you are with me
we’ll ride the river together

These are all poems by Tupac Shakur, From: The Rose That Grew From Concrete. Even if you are not someone who enjoys rap/hip hop music. I challenge you to listen to these songs by Tupac Dear Mama, Brenda’s Got A Baby, Papaz Song, trapped, and as soon as I get home. Because even if Tupac only changed, influenced or motivated one person? It was me. Thank you Tupac. R.I.P brother.
Sincerely James Douglas
