MY NAME IS MICHELLE MARTIN I AM 37 YEARS OLD AND I CAME INTO THE CORRECTIONS SYSTEM IN 2003 I WILL LEAVE IN 2025.
ONE WEEK AGO I STARTED A GROUP SELF EXPRESSION THRU JORNALING, I HAD NO IDEA HOW OR WHO BUT I TOLD THE LADIES WE HAVE SOMEONE WHO IS GOING TO START A BLOG AND WE WILL FINALLY HAVE A CHANCE TO LET OUR VOCIES BE HEARD. MANY WERE EXCITED BUT I WAS NERVOUS HERE I AM CLAMING THIS PERSON WHO DOES NOT EXIST WAS GOING TO DO THIS, BUT I ALSO KNEW THAT A WAY WOULD BE MADE IF IT WAS TRULLY SOMETHING I WAS SUPPOSED TO DO, THEN HERE YOU ARE 🙂 . I WANT TO TELL THE STORIES OF THE WOMEN BEHIND THE WALLS, WHO HAVE BEEN TOLD THEY HAVE NO VOICE. AS WE GO ON WITH THIS GROUP ASKING HARD QUESTIONS FACING THE HARD FACTS, I WANT TO SHARE THE DISCUSSIONS WE HAVE. HERE IS A GOOD STARTING POINT I BELIVE. Hi Michelle. Just want to encourage you in this. I have used writing to help me through tough times for years. It’s helped mt to process my emotions, step back from what I’m going through, and see the big picture. I didn’t always feel like writing, sometimes I had to push myself.
Other days, I could write a lot. Good luck with it, hope you find it useful! I’ll be reading.
