Introducing Cody Besch

Share

My name is Cody Besch, I’m 29 years old and have been incarcerated since October 2015. I’m new at blogging and wouldn’t mind the feedback.

Ive learned what an unjust, greedy, and hateful society we live in. Yes I’ve done my share of wild activities but I’ve also been a great person all the same. I’m hundreds of miles away from home, family and friends and feel like tons of other people. That I’ve been treated unfairly by our legal system. My first time ever in trouble I was scared into taking a sentence by the state attorney and have now discovered that I was wrongfully convicted. But do to lack of legal representation and money I wasn’t able to do anything. Ever since then life has been a downward spiral of events. Now I’m considered a bad person or a menace to society because I have been labeled by the system. We as felons are treated as lesser individuals because of some bad choices at one time or another. Another issue is the fact that so many people think they’re right about everything and their way of doing things is best. People are not the same, what works for one may not work for the next. Maybe I shouldn’t even talk about this subject but there are so many people in the same scenario as I am. I have been told that if I don’t like this country and its ways then I should leave, but I can’t. I’m not allowed because I’ve been placed on some type of probation or parole which restricts me to stay. I love our country, I’ve tried to go to our military but wasn’t allowed. I love our people, but can’t fight for them. There are certain things I don’t agree in when it comes to war but this world is in some type of battle in every concept. But not to drift off from what I originally started with, I think the priorities of the legal system are f***** up and the concept behind America has been ruined. We are not free, and when it comes to justice everyone is guilty until proven innocent.

  1. I knew, and remember Cody, quite well, circa 2007-09 – when I lived in Columbus, TX. A mutual buddy, Brandon Roberts, from Wiemar, introduced me to Mr. Besch at a place that was sort of an indoor-outdoor bar in Colorado county. What he wrote is true; he really seemed like a nice guy, smart, liked to joke around and have fun. Very sorry to learn that he’s now locked up. Does anyone know when he gets out? I hope and pray that he will be able to successfully get back into society and again be a productive, happy person. Cody: If you’re reading this, hit me back, and update me on your progress. Best Regards, T B
