HE CALLED SEVERAL GUYS “BITCHES” AND “PUNKS” by Steven Jennings

Breakfast was what we call an Egg McFelon.
It’s like an Egg McMuffin. It consist of processed bread, processed cheese, processed meat, and processed egg. I traded that and the milk for celery and onions at lunch time. For breakfast I ate oatmeal, and a banana. Then I came back to my cell and ate 30 grams of protein in the form of unsalted peanuts and Sardines.

Lunch was processed bread, processed chili, and some of the lowest quality hotdogs you can imagine. I traded it all for more onions and celery. For twenty minutes I sat there chomping on raw onions and celery. Then I came back to my cell and ate 30 grams of protein in the form of unsalted peanuts and Sardines.

My diet doesn’t taste the best, but it’s the best for me. I eat to survive, not for pleasure. I eat for my health. I hear guys say it’s impossible to eat healthy in prison. For those guys, it’s true. Make something a priority and anything is possible.

”If you say you can’t, you’re right…if you say you can, your right. What do you say?”

Crazy Dre finally got moved out of the unit (read: A Crazy Dude Stalking Me). I made it a priority to stay far away from him. From a distance I watched him call several guys ”bitches” and ”punks”. Those are fighting words! It’s only a matter of time before he reaps what he sows.

My old celly Jesse is currently paying for years of misconduct.
He’s argumentative, negative, rude, disrespectful, and acts like he’s above the rules. That attitude recently caught up with him. He got fired from his welding job and he got kicked out of the dog program. In a matter of weeks his whole world came crashing down. Poor guy, he blames everyone but himself. His ignorance is the cause of his suffering.

If I don’t keep my mind sharp and focused, I will rapidly regress in this toxic environment. I’ve recently had some close calls. It has nothing to do with others, and everything to do with me.

I haven’t been in a fight since June of 2011. Prior to that, I was fighting all the time. My environment is the same. The difference is my mindset and how I choose to respond.

When I treat people with respect and operate within the spirit of love,
my environment becomes much more peaceful and I experience numerous blessings that simply don’t exist on the other side of the spectrum.

There’s always a storm on the horizon. A sharp, focused mind enables me to weather those storms and come out stronger. Love conquers all. Even in this prison environment.

By controlling my mind, I’m able to control my environment and shape it in a manner that provides me maximum comfort. For example, I’m in the dog program, and I’ll be getting an EFV with my wife soon.

Prison jumpsuits are orange. Have you ever heard of ”50 Shades of Orange”?
It’s like ”50 Shades of Grey”. Only different.

After 23 years without sex, I’m about to have a 48 hour conjugal visit with my wife. You can’t even imagine the things I’m going to do to her. Then I’m going to write a ”tell all” and call it ”50 Shades of Orange”. It’ll become a Best Selling series and I’ll earn millions!

Some people will hate it…others will love it. Those who hate it will secretly buy it…and some of those haters will eventually grow to love it! That’s the beauty of ebooks on handhelds…no one knows what you’re reading. Enjoy it you silly little closet freak!
