I have been writing quite a lot of blogs and would like some feedback from people out there about what they liked and didn’t like and also what you’d like to hear more about.
I know I haven’t been doing this for very long but I really enjoy blogging. I would like to make my blog better and even more enjoyable to read.
I would like to focus on the content that you want to read. The topics you enjoy and like are the ones I will try and write and focus on more if possible.

Hi Jesse, I think feedback is a fair request. I have enjoyed reading your blog entries, and those of others on Stone City Blog. I have enjoyed learning about the puppy/dog program. Your recent piece about the shakedown was not only well written, but informative. I think – well, I know that there is a prevailing thought of many inside that nothing is really happening day to day inside… that someone on the outside would be interested… We all, however, have day to day grinds, and these can seem less than newsworthy to that person living out a specific routine, but be informative and interesting to those of us wearing different shoes. I would encourage you to keep writing about what you are learning, & what you experience in order to educate those of us who have little understanding of life inside. It seems like those of you who have dealt with this system might also have constructive ideas on how to actually improve the system to help reduce recidivism. When any of us have to make due within deprivation, creativity often blooms…don’t discount this.
I hope this is helpful in someway, and that you can actually access the replies….
I honestly think you should write from your heart. Writing what people want “to hear” could be an overwhelming task that has it’s pro’s and con’s. The good thing about blogging is the creation is all you. Your blogging and followers will come in time, enjoy your space. Much success.
So, I have a question for you… with this being a holiday season, are there traditions you have made or things you do to acknowledge or celebrate the different holidays this time of year and even beyond? Somethings you might have come up with to set these different days (like Thanksgiving, Christmas, New years…or whatever holidays you may celebrate…Hannukah…etc) apart from every other day?
I agree write from what interest/inspires you. Please keep being the honest witness for those of us on the outside. The story needs to be heard. My blog wanders all over the place. Any time you put your thoughts and ideas out into the world some will take offense. find your own voice. stay true to it. Happy holidays.
Hi Jesse, I enjoy your blogs. You write well. You’d be amazed (I’m also dismayed!) at the inability of many college grads to construct a simple declarative sentence. I’d like to know more about how you guys cope with long sentences. What so you worry about? does having female prison staff around make you feel better or worse?
