It’s been interesting lately as I prepare for my release in October. Several people who, years ago said that I could release to their place, live with them, expect their help, etc., are suddenly backing out or procrastinating. Now that it’s real. I don’t hate them for it; I understand. And they don’t owe me anything. Although since I’m now kind of scrambling around trying to make arrangements, it would have been nice to have a more definitive answer a while ago (even a “no”). But either way, it is interesting to see who sticks and who disappears when things get real.
