You are doing a great job for these guys. Keep up the good work. I write to someone in prison. Following his journey as his writing grows is amazing.
This site is so awesome and I read often. My husband has been incarcerated for the past 6 years and I truly believe that everyone should have a voice. God Bless

Just read your book. It was very eye opening. I have been out of prison for twenty years but still find myself struggling with the insecure attitude, always trying to keep the “tough” persona. Thank you for your insight.
Are you still writing?
Yes, my blog is: stevenandsuzie.com
Oh, you go! I’m reblogging this to my sister site Success Inspirers World
Awesome, thank you!
And thank you, my friend 🤗

I think it’s a nice thng they are doing here. I didn’t know such a blog existed.
Thank you for following my blog. I’m glad to hear about your site. Being able to express oneself brings its own freedom, no matter what the physical circumstances.
You’re very welcome. Your words are written perfectly!
Thank you! You likely aren’t aware, as we Canadians were about six years back, that Canadian newspaper owner, Conrad Black, fell afoul of US “anti-trust” laws — too many business interests in the US ?? — and was sentenced to a year or so in a Florida prison (token whack with ruler deal.) While incarcerated he spent a lot of time teaching inmates to read and write. He wrote an article after his release sympathizing with inmates who can’t read, write, understand legal stuff or defend themselves in courts. Being literate and interacting with others opens a new world of intelligence to people, no matter what circumstances they’re in.
Thank you for sharing that about Conrad Black. I love to hear inspiring stories like that.
If you have a link to that article, I’d love to read it 🙂
I’ll have to hunt a bit; it was about five years back.
Welcome (to everyone involved) to Virtual Vitamins. One of the primary messages of the Bible is that repentance brings forgiveness and redemption. My prayer is that all of the inmates may discover God’s love for them and His purpose for them, even at this point in their life.
Thank you, jgarrott.
What an interesting blog! Greetings and best wishes to everyone – and thank you for the follow !!
You’re welcome, and thank YOU 🙂
Hi! This is amazing. I’m a journalist too, and I’m so happy I discovered this. Can I send you an e-mail so we can talk more about this? I’d love to ask you some question, and see if/how I can help!
Hi. Thank you! And of course you may email me at inmateblogger@gmail.com. I look forward to talking with you 🙂

I served 6 years in Saskatchewan penitentiary and know quite a bit about Canadian Penitentiaries and the things that go on in there
To God be the Glory!
Welcome to that little voice and thank you for following my blog.
You are very welcome 🙂
I appreciate you choosing to follow my blog–and seeing this, I’ll return the favor. Writing can be a flight of freedom for those whose physical limitations are obvious. I value what you’re doing.
Thank you 🙂
Ive just gotten out of Saskatchewan Penitentiary served 6 years.. .I never knew we could blog and I know alot about the inner workings of Canadian Penitentiaries
Thank you for following my blog… I have followed yours back. My son was just sentenced to time in State Prison… I cried for a whole day. The universe has connected us here in some grand way. Thanks so much. I look forward to reading this site.
You’re welcome. 🙂
I wasn’t aware that prisoners were allowed to be bloggers too. Not sure they are in the UK, so might have to check on that.
My main reservation might concern the crime they are in for, but in general, it should be something positive for inmates.
Thanks for following my blog, which is appreciated.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thank you for following my blog. I work with girls just out of jail through drugs and alcohol.
You’re welcome. 🙂
Thanks for following OMBH! Welcome!!
I’m intrigued by your follow and blog. I’m really looking forward to reading the posts here and also to interacting in some way with the writers.
I really hope I can make a positive contribution.
Should the folk who share their stories here visit my blog, I hope they find a smile or three to brighten their day! 😉
This is really great an idea because I think it helps inmates to share lessons learnt and also warn readers of possible traps. Thanks for following my blog.
Thanks for following my blog. I look forward to reading your posts.
You’re welcome 🙂
Blessings on this endeavor! Thanks for following.
I pray the Lord will in some way touch each one of your hearts in a very special way. God Bless you all!
Thank you <3
I saw a person here who writes poetry. Are people allowed to submit for contests? Thanks…
Here is one contest that is up coming…maybe some would be interested if its allowed…https://www.frontierpoetry.com/calendar/.
I realize that this may have an entry fee to pay. I know they don’t make much money for their work so if some are interested in entering I will pay, say up to 100.oo US if they would like to enter. NO STRINGS ATTACHED. Their poetry is good and it deserves a shot. God Bless

Perfect I will make send the money there….
I am very moved that Inmate Blogger exists for those who are physically imprisoned. I was moved to tears that my blog was being followed by Inmate. Thank you and Hope it is worth the read. I do understand the pain and feelings of incarceration..mostly from within the soul. I had to “come out” of my “cage” in order to be able to write and take up music and now painting to continue to grow in a freedom from within that I feel was introduced to me from Christ. Thank you again for what feels like an honor. I also have a website of similar fare that I started because of the need at the time to have more creative license that I couldn’t get in WordPress at the time.

This is a fantastic site. May all good things come to those who share their thoughts on here.
Thank you.
I must say a very interesting topic, to write about the essays that are written by jailbirds 😉 in a prison…
Reblogged this on Writing into the Light and commented:
Hi
Thanks for the follow *, as the reason I write is to share.
* (Though my family and close friends say it would be far more entertaining with a video-camera # in “real life”, rather than in cyberspace!)
By the way, do they still make them in today’s ever-faster changing world..or is it all done with mobile phones?
(get with the times now,”luddite”* c – it should be a smart phone)
or so I was often called by my “my techno-geek” friend, Bill (“the gonk”)
“total non-techno” c (who doesn’t possess a mobile phone, after a rather eventful’ experience some years back, whilst trying to walk, talk and chew gum at the same time)
Who says men can’t multi-task!
Kind regards
craig

Best wishes from the First City to see the sun (in summer) …and we’re also the first to see the sunset and the stars (in winter-time)
“I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars.”
My name is Gary Waid and I am a writer (see GOLIATH, GITMO, SPLINTER CITY…), and Down & Out Books has just released my latest effort, DANCING BEAR, A MEMOIR. written during my time in prison. I spent 12 years smuggling pot in the Caribbean. And 8 years in prison for my troubles. This is a collection of stories, very FUNNY stories, about my years off shore, on the run, and in prison for my excesses. It’s history, in the mold of Hunter S. Thompson. It’s Gonzo and informative. You could ask your people to go to Amazon Books, type in DANCING BEAR, GARY WAID. And send you the book. Writing is an honorable way to spend your time in the joint.
This is a great idea so we can hear their voice. They deserve this. They are also human.
My father was in the prison and I love to write a blog about him. Thank you very much for sharing this idea!
I love the purpose of this article. I hope this will help many inmates hear their voices and serve as an eye-opener and inspiration to others.
