To society, people in prison are deemed incorrigible f—- ups & we are not amenable to change. Truthfully this is far from the truth!!!
Myself, & others like me, are tired of the pain, tired of the cycle of victimization, & we have learned to respect other people, their rights & their personal security. Myself & others have seen the errors in our ways & we refuse to let anyone’s opinion’s & systems of nomenclature dictate our fate & our futures. Why??? because PEOPLE IN PRISON ARE HUMAN BEINGS TOO!!!
We are not labels, we are not categories, we are not statistics, we are not stereotypes, we have identities, we have personalities, we are individuals, so RESPECT US AS SUCH!!!!
People who discrimate against others, whom have been labeled: “convicts”, “felons”, “thugs”
“monster”, or whatever have you, ARE PREJUDICE, meaning “THEY PRE-JUDGE”, without knowing a single thing about the person behind the “LABEL”. People who live & die by discriminatory beliefs also are in prison
why are they imprisoned? Because PREJUDICE CONFINES, you limit yourself, you can’t go here, because this type of person lives there, you can’t go over there, because this type of person lives there, you can’t speak to this type of person, you can’t speak to that type of person, you can’t do this, you can’t do that because of other people..Your emotions, senses of understanding, compassion, caring,
& love are LOCKED UP, in a deep underground supermax prison…Let yourself be free, let your emotions recieve parole & be free….In my opinion, if you are PREJUDICE & PRE-JUDGE ME, THAN YOU ARE THE ONE WITH THE PROBLEM, NOT ME…I AM IN PRISON, YET I TOO AM A HUMAN JUST LIKE YOU!!!
