My cellie left, so for the first time in more than two years, I have a cell to myself. It’s freaking exhilarating. A small taste of what it’s going to be like when I finally get out of here next year. You never think how much privacy and peace and quiet really means until you’ve seen how awful the absolute opposite is. True, in this case, it’s only going to be for a few days, but I’ll talk it. For a few days, at least, I get to feel normal.
