My Best Friend by Ramone Echols

I have eight sisters and four brothers . One of my sisters is named Shay , and we have the same mother and father , but the rest of them we just share our father . My sister Shay , that’s my BESTFRIEND . She means the world to me , and I love her to death , but she a hater and I didn’t raise her to be that way . That’s my baby from day one that my momma brought her home from the hospital . Naw , I’m not goin to lie I tried to get my momma to take her back for a boy the first day she brought her home , but I learned to love her when my momma told me that we had to keep her . I didn’t have a choice . Anyway , growing up me and Shay became the best of friends cause my momma went back to school to become a LPN , so our time with her was limited and we were all we had . Once my momma got her license and she started working we really hardly had time with her , but it was only because she was trying to make a better life for her babies . Me and Shay are five years apart , but You couldn’t get me and her to seperate from each other . We were like twins whereever I went she was with me . When I started kickin it in the hood with my guys she was with me like she was one of us . Sh!t , she was and still is one of us . I caught my case when she was just 14 years old , and in the beginning the hardest part of all of this was being away from my sister . Recently we’ve had our differences , but we got past them because that’s what bestfriends do . Now , let me get to why I called her stanking @$$ a hater . My momma told her about me doing this blog , and she said she wasn’t going to check it out along with some other hater $h!t . I’m not mad at her though cause we got a family full of haters , and I left her out there with them . She’s been infected , and it’s my fault for not being there to make sure she was properly vaccinated . It’s been almost eight years since the last time she came to visit me cause I’m up in the northwest corner in Washington state and she’s back home in Illinois , so her last shot has worn off . Her and my mom will be to see me shortly so she’ll be able to get another shot of 110 CC’s of real MF , and that should hold her for another 3 1/2 years until I get home . With that being said , I’ll leave y’all with this . Friends are hard to come by in life , and so are real MF’s . So when you have both of those in one in your life you have to cherish them . I love Shay to death , and in this life and the next she’ll always be my BESTFRIEND , and I’ll always be her # 1 fan .
