I’m in kind of a weird place in my time: 18 years in, and only 18 months left. It’s pretty amazing, actually. And strange, because in many ways, it’s actually more difficult now that my release date is getting close. Before, years ago, it hardly mattered because it was so far away. Now, it’s difficult not to think about being out there every single day. Now, I’m more aware of what I’m missing. And most of all, because I’ve changed so much from the punk kid who didn’t care, everything about this place and the people bothers me more. I don’t want to sound like I’m complaining; it’s just a bit ironic that it works like this.
